1. Have S’mores by a Campfire.

As the temperature slowly drops, this is the perfect activity for your family and friends. Grab some marshmallows, Hershey chocolate, graham crackers, blankets and light up that fire. Reminisce over the year you’ve had while sharing a few laughs.

2. Visit a Pumpkin Patch & Go, Apple Picking.

There’s nothing that screams fall like pumpkin and apple picking season. Local farms are inviting families to their plump pumpkin fiesta, and you don’t want to miss out. You can make apple pies, cider, or even caramel apples. Get into it!

3. Visit a Vineyard.

I’ve been an avid supporter of visiting vineyards all throughout the summer. Get a group of friends together and visit your local vineyard. By the way, winemaker harvests their grapes in the fall so this is the perfect time to stock up on some bottles. Top 5 Wineries in Maryland.

4. Take a Hike.

Leaves are the prettiest in the fall, so take a moment to enjoy wildlife. If you are in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas, check out these trails. My favorite park is Cunningham State Park.

5. Try a Pumpkin Beer.

I’ve never had pumpkin beer, so this is hot on my list this fall. Pumpkin beer is made with chai spices, cinnamon, clove, ginger, and nutmeg. However, if you aren’t a big fan of pumpkin beer, try a pumpkin spice latte or pumpkin tea. Make sure you have a slice of pumpkin pie to go with that.

6. Stay at a Bed & breakfast.

Take a few days to cool off at a bed and breakfast. This is the perfect and cozy getaway in the countryside. Plus, you save a lot of money by opting for a B&B, as to suppose to a hotel.

7. Visit a Farmer’s Market.

I don’t know about you but I love fresh produce. Fall is the perfect season for farm-fresh produce, so ditch the regular supermarket and try a farmer’s market instead.

8. Enjoy the Fall Foliage.

Go on a beautiful drive and take in the changing leaves. This is the perfect Sunday afternoon activity, as the scenery in the countryside is magnificent. The photos above were taken in Maryland, at The Annapolis Rock via Appalachian Trail.

Get into the spirit of fall with a DIY wreath. There are endless tutorials online, so get started today.

10. Get Lost in a Corn Maze.

This sounds like a scene in a scary movie, but live life on the edge. A corn maze is not just the perfect outdoor activity, but it’s also challenging. Not to mention, great for social distancing.

11. DIY a Fall Floral Arrangement.

Without a doubt, flowers light up a space. Take it a step further and DIY your perfect floral arrangement. Visit your local florist and put together your ideal seasonal bouquet.

12. Go on a Camping Trip.

I love camping. The good news is you can set it upright in your backyard. If you like camping but also like the finer things in life, glamping is for you. This is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

13. Set Up a Cozy Backyard Space.

Plan an intimate backyard dinner and invite some friends over. Be sure to hang up some outdoor lights to create the perfect vibe.

14. Rent a Cabin.

It honestly doesn’t get cozier than a cabin trip. This is the perfect season for peak foliage, so you’ll have the best views up in the mountains. Check out the Getaway House.
